During your consultation, your provider will assess your facial features and personal goals before recommending the ideal filler. Once your skin has been cleansed and local anesthetic is applied to numb the treatment area, your practitioner will make temporary marks to indicate your customized injection pattern.
Using a pre-filled syringe with a very fine needle, your provider will inject the filler into the treatment areas until the desired results have been achieved.
Keep in mind that the deeper the wrinkle, the deeper the product will be injected into the skin. Different injection techniques may be used depending on the type of filler (some fillers are thicker than others).
In all, the process will only take between 45 and 60 minutes to complete. Once the treatment is over, you’ll be able to return to your normal activities, though some patients opt to take the day off and rest. Some minor tenderness, redness, and swelling will be present in the treatment area but will fade over the course of a few hours.
