Ideal Results, Tailored to You Ethnic Rhinoplasty at Elite Plastic Surgery

Rhinoplasty is a plastic surgery procedure that corrects the size, shape, or projection of your nose so that it better frames your face and contributes to a more attractive sense of proportionate facial harmony. While the nose is undeniably a cosmetic focal point of any person’s face, it’s also a feature that often communicates your ethnic heritage to the world.

Ethnic rhinoplasty is designed to enhance the appearance of your nose while carefully preserving your unique ethnic characteristics, and our expert surgeons are known for their ability to combine surgical excellence with a keen sense of aesthetics. You’ll enjoy a more balanced and harmonious facial profile, while preserving the look that makes you who you are.

At Elite Plastic Surgery, our team is led by brothers Rozbeh Torabi, MD; Radbeh Torabi, MD; and Ramyar Torabi, MD. Each Torabi brother is a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive training and a reputation for excellence. The Benefits of Ethnic Rhinoplasty

Ethnic rhinoplasty takes a unique approach to rhinoplasty, setting itself apart from the more traditional technique used on most Caucasian patients. While the surgical technique and outcome of this procedure will vary greatly based on your individual goals and unique features, ethnic rhinoplasty is generally ideal for addressing issues including the following:

  • Weak tip
  • Thick nasal skin
  • Flat bridge
  • Drooping nose
  • Flared nostrils
  • Unsightly hump
  • Bulbous tip
  • Broad base

Am I the Ideal Candidate for Ethnic Rhinoplasty?

If you are not happy with the current appearance of your nose but would like to avoid making any changes to your unique ethnic facial features, then you might be a good candidate for an ethnic nose job. During your initial consultation, you’ll get to meet with your plastic surgeon, explain your goals in detail, and explain the various options available to you.

This meeting will help ensure that you have realistic expectations about the outcome of the procedure, and your surgeon will answer any questions you might have about how he’ll create your ultimate results. We’ll also make sure that you have everything you need to be comfortable both before and after the day of your procedure.

Different Types of Ethnic Rhinoplasty Available at Elite Plastic Surgery in Chandler

Asian Rhinoplasty

Patients of Asian descent can enhance their nasal bridge with a cartilage graft acquired from another part of the body. The size or shape of your nostrils can also be altered, along with the shape or size of your nasal tip, to create a look that more harmoniously aligns with the rest of your facial features while preserving your unique identity.

African American Rhinoplasty

Many African American patients pursue ethnic rhinoplasty in order to address cosmetic or functional imperfections by narrowing a wide nasal bridge. Other common issues include a rounded appearance, wide tip, or enlarged nostrils. The goal is always to enhance the areas of concern in a way that brings greater harmony to the patient’s face.

Middle Eastern Rhinoplasty

Our rhinoplasty surgeons are attuned to the precise needs of Persian, Arab, and Middle Eastern patients. They can help elevate or reduce a drooping tip while honoring the natural attractiveness of your cultural heritage with custom nose reshaping. This may also be carried out in order to reduce or straighten a prominent nasal bridge.

Other Types of Rhinoplasty

Most cultures tend to have unique characteristics that are passed down through the generations. While people are typically proud of the characteristics that connect them to a rich culture, it’s quite common to feel frustrated by a number of cosmetic or structural imperfections that can trigger discomfort or cause embarrassment.

This is even more true if you find that the size or shape of your nose does not make a flattering contribution to your facial profile. Native Americans, Latinos, and specific European cultures tend to have common concerns regarding the structure of their nose. At Elite Plastic Surgery, our surgeons work closely with each patient in order to achieve a natural, refined look that will best highlight their features while preserving the key aspects of their ethnic identities.

The Elite Surgical Approach

The primary technique used during an ethnic rhinoplasty procedure involves altering the cartilage in order to reshape the nose. Your surgeon will work carefully to achieve your desired aesthetic outcome while also taking care to minimize any trauma and the likelihood of scarring thanks to their extensive training and vast amount of experience with this procedure.

During the procedure, Dr. Torabi may work to augment a flat bridge, lengthen a short nasal tip, or narrow the base of your nose to achieve your cosmetic goals. While rhinoplasty performed on Caucasian noses typically focuses on addressing the presence of an overly large, long, and/or over-projected nose, our surgeons tailor every ethnic rhinoplasty directly to the patient.

You and your surgeon will work together on the development of a personalized treatment plan, and our team will also help you explore a number of additional treatments that can help you further enhance your ethnic rhinoplasty outcome, as well as a number of advanced wellness treatments that will leave you feeling as vibrant as you look.

Recovery After Ethnic Rhinoplasty

Immediate Recovery

The recovery process after nose reshaping surgery will vary from one patient to the other, usually according to the extent of the surgery, adherence to post-op instructions, and the body’s healing process. In the first two weeks following this treatment, you should expect to take some time off work to focus on your recovery.

Your Comfort

You’ll experience some bruising, swelling, and sensitivity around your nose after this procedure, and we’ll make sure you have everything you need to stay comfortable. We’ll also provide you with a detailed recovery timeline and a clear set of aftercare instructions and will be sure to schedule follow-up appointments to ensure that you’re healing comfortably.

Getting Back to Normal

Most ethnic rhinoplasty patients are able to rejoin their normal routines after about three to four weeks of rest and recovery. You will need to avoid any strenuous activities for up to six or eight weeks, however. Our team will be available at all times to answer any questions that you might have during the recovery process.
